As surveillance and ID systems moved from film based products to video/digital video so did D/A Pacific. D/A has provided CCTV and ID systems for industries here in the U.S., South America, Canada and Africa. D/A currently holds a C7 California Contractors License and is actively distributing products and installing systems for both industry and government. Our Video Surveillance installations have ranged in number of cameras installed from 1 camera for a single-family home, 4 cameras mounted in explosion proof housings for an Air Force jet engine test site, 32 cameras for The Hotel Del Coronado and 160 cameras for Wal-Mart. D/A Pacific is currently providing security related products and/or installation services to 1500 Public Storage locations, 500 Money Mart locations, Wendy's in Las Vegas and Southern CA, numerous banking customers and other security dealers throughout the United States.

D/A Pacific opened its doors in 1984 in Torrance, CA and eventually moved to Palm Desert in 1998. Doug Hassett, President & Cindy Hassett, Vice President, are the owners of D/A Pacific. Doug is a graduate of Northern Arizona University, Cindy is a graduate of UCLA.

Doug Hassett worked as an employee for D/A in the late 80's and into the early 90's. The early years spent with D/A were the beginnings of an education in Bank Surveillance and Identification Systems. The office walls were donned with pictures of bad guys holding innocent people at gunpoint, and ski masked, shotgun-toting bandits. A conversation with the FBI, Secret Service or other law enforcement agency was an experience that would become common. Just this year D/A provided and installed equipment that caught one shooting on 35mm surveillance film and the murder of an armored truck driver with a digital video system.

Among D/A's newest ventures in the Low Voltage Market is in the area of Time and Attendance Systems. D/A has many products for time and attendance including a portable product for the contracting industry. The portable time clock known as the Job Clock promises to be very simple, and cost effective. The portable Job Clock is weather proof, can be chained or locked to a fixed position and the records are downloaded to a Palm Pilot in the field. Ultimately the T/A information is transferred from Palm to PC.

D/A has been a long time provider of ID Systems and Document Imaging equipment and supplies to the Check Cashing, Freight and Storage industries. The new line of Regiscope, Digital Document Imaging systems offers a variety of products for scanning checks, driver identification with Bill-of-Lading and storage facility rental contracts. All document scans include a copy of the scan in conjunction with a photo of the person and their ID as a single JPEG file. This is an exciting and innovative product line.

D/A is striving constantly to learn about new products and improve the installation process.
