D/A (Distribution Associates) was founded in 1975 and has been associated with the Continuous Surveillance Camera and ID industry since that time. The early years in security for D/A revolved around the distribution and installation of film-based surveillance systems. Predominately these systems were for the banking and financial markets. In the early days of film surveillance, D/A Pacific provided film and film cameras and provided photo processing for Bank of America, Wells Fargo and many other banks and security firms around the world. D/A Pacific also provided its film processing services to the FBI, Secret Service and Military.

D/A Pacific, Inc. opened its doors in 1984 in Torrance, CA and eventually moved to Palm Desert in 1998. Doug Hassett, President & Cindy Hassett, Vice President, are the owners of D/A Pacific. Doug is a graduate of Northern Arizona University; Cindy is a graduate of UCLA. D/A Pacific, Inc is currently a “Woman Owned” Small Business with Cindy Hassett owning the majority of the Stock.

We can install cameras around your jet engine: As surveillance and ID systems moved from film based products to Analog & Digital “IP” Video so has D/A Pacific. D/A has provided CCTV and ID systems for industries here in the U.S., South America, Canada and Africa. D/A currently holds a C7 California Contractors License and is actively distributing products and installing Video and Access Control Systems. Our Video Surveillance installations have ranged in number of cameras from 1 camera for a single-family home, 4 cameras mounted in explosion proof housings for an Air Force jet engine test site and 160 cameras for Wal-Mart. D/A Pacific is currently providing security related products and services to Public Storage, Desert Regional Medical Center, Palm Springs Unified School District, and numerous commercial and corporate customers throughout the United States.

D/A has been a long time provider of ID Systems and Document Imaging equipment and supplies to the Check Cashing, Freight and Storage industries and many other commercial businesses. The new line of Regiscope, Digital Document Imaging systems offers a variety of products for scanning checks, verifying the ID of a driver, guest or contractor, and checking that person’s identity against OFAC (the anti-terrorist watch list.) All document scans include a copy of the scan in conjunction with a photo of the person and their ID as a single, unalterable, JPEG file. This is an exciting and innovative product line.
